Meet & Greet

Home Visit and Finalizing the Adoption

We conduct a home visit to ensure a safe environment for the pet. Then, the adoption is finalized with necessary paperwork and adoption fees.

All applicants’ names are checked against an animal abuse registry, which can take 7-10 business days.

Available Pets

We frequently rescue new animals, so please check back regularly for the most up to date information on our available pets!

Bebop

Male | Maltese Mix | 7 - 8 yo

Available Now!

Bebop, an 7-8 year-old Havanese Maltese mix, is an independent and loyal companion who loves being close to his person after establishing a relationship. He did not have the best previous life so you will need a little patience while waiting for him to warm up/trust you. He enjoys lounging around the house, getting chin strokes and back scratches, and would prefer to be home with you, though he can be left alone for periods. While he isn’t very playful with toys, he loves going on walks and is a great car rider. Bebop is treat-motivated, which makes him easy to adjust to new situations or surroundings. He does not get along with other dogs and will bark or growl if he sees them on walks, so he’s best suited as the only dog in the home. Overall, Bebop is a laid-back dog who simply wants to relax by your side and get lots of love & treats. If kept on a strict potty break schedule, he is potty trained.

Bebop is currently located in Land O’Lakes, FL; all adopters must live within 25 miles of Pasco County, FL.

Adoption Fee:  $425.00

What is the difference between fostering and adoption?2025-08-01T18:20:22-04:00

Fostering is a process by which a family provides guidance, training, and loving care to a dog until he or she is adopted by their forever family. We provide the supplies necessary at little to no personal expense to foster families. Foster families are the backbone of our organization!

When a family adopts a dog, they provide the same guidance, training, and loving care – permanently! They welcome the dog into their home and assume the personal expenses that come with caring for a dog.

How long does fostering last?2024-06-03T10:37:43-04:00

The length of fostering can vary, typically ranging from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the animal’s needs and adoption timeline.

Do I need special training to foster?2025-08-01T18:17:05-04:00

While it may be helpful to have prior pet ownership experience, no special training is required to foster a dog. We provide all the necessary guidance and support to help you care for your foster pet.

What costs are involved in fostering?2025-02-20T08:19:21-05:00

We are happy to cover the costs of medical care, and supplies needed for the foster animal, so fostering usually involves minimal personal expense.

Can I adopt my foster pet?2025-08-01T18:16:21-04:00

Absolutely! If foster families decide to make them a permanent part of their family, they are welcome to adopt. There is never any pressure placed on foster families to adopt their foster dogs, though.
